M volunteers are an essential link between the museum and the public. Ready to be part of this vibrant team?

Volunteers at M: in front of and behind the scenes

You know them, the enthusiastic people who welcome you with open arms during your museum visit and are ready to answer all your questions.

But at M, there are also many people who work behind the scenes: in the depot, the silver workshop, the library or the print room. M's collection consists of many objects, prints and books. Such an extensive and delicate collection needs some good care. The works are studied, given conservation and restoration treatments, and their preservation is constantly optimised. To ensure that we can share all these works with more people, they are also being digitised.

As a volunteer, you will enjoy free entrance to the museum, a discount in our bookshop, a bicycle allowance and your public transport costs are reimbursed. M is also committed to offering a wide range of training and lectures for volunteers. Each year you can participate in volunteer and staff activities. You will get to know M and the other volunteers better and be part of a friendly community.
